Find widgets in the Today View
Widgets show you information from your favourite apps, like News and Stocks. You can see your widgets in the Today View. Just swipe right over the Home screen, Lock screen, or while you're looking at your notifications.

Copied’s widget is one of my favorite aspects of the app. In compact mode, it lets you preview what’s currently in your clipboard or save the clipboard with the tap of a button. Expand it, and you’ll get access to Copied’s lists – effectively, folders where you can store clippings for better organization. Feb 24, 2020 A new demo from researchers at Mysk shines a light on the free, unrestricted, access all apps have to the iOS clipboard. In the video, the developers create a dummy app.
To open the app for the widget, just tap the widget.
Add or remove widgets in the Today View
You can add and remove widgets and even reorder them so your favourite ones are at the top.
- Swipe right over the Home screen or Lock screen.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit.
- To add a widget, tap . To remove a widget, tap . To reorder your widgets, touch and hold next to the apps and drag them in the order that you want.
- To finish, tap Done.
With an iPad on iPadOS, using the More apps Home Screen layout, you can even save your Widgets so that they always stay on your Home screen. Follow steps 1 and 2, turn on Keep on Home Screen, then tap Done.
To see the Batteries widget, your device must be connected to another supported Bluetooth device or accessory.
Use quick actions to view and add widgets
On an iPhone 6s and later, press deeply on an app icon to quickly check the weather, stocks and see other information, all from your Home screen. Tap Add to add the app to Today View.
